General

How do I get a quote?

Fill in the form or send an email with a scan or photo of the document, the target language, and the country and institution it is for. We reply with an exact price and deadline.

Why aren't prices published?

The price depends on the language pair, the type and length of the document, the certifications needed and the deadline. An individual quote is more accurate and usually better value than a flat price list.

How do I send original documents?

A scan is enough for a quote. If the service requires the original, you receive the address and instructions with the quote. We return originals by registered post or courier.

Do you work outside the major cities?

Yes, for clients throughout Croatia and abroad. Most of the work is done remotely, and we deliver documents to any address.

Do Croatian institutions accept your translations?

Yes. Certified translations are produced by permanent court interpreters appointed by Croatian courts, and courts, police administrations, registry offices, notaries and other bodies accept them.

Are my documents kept confidential?

Yes. Court interpreters are bound by confidentiality, and we process personal data only to prepare the quote and carry out the service, in line with the GDPR.

Certified translation

How much does a certified translation cost?

The price depends on the language pair, the length and type of the document, and the deadline. Send us a scan via the form or by email and you will receive an exact, no-obligation quote.

How long does a certified translation take?

It depends on the language and volume; the deadline is always stated in the quote. Short personal documents are usually ready within a few working days, and urgent translations are possible on request.

Is a Croatian certified translation valid abroad?

In most cases yes, but some countries also require an apostille or legalisation of the court interpreter's signature. We check the receiving institution's requirements before we start.

Apostille

Who issues apostilles in Croatia?

Generally the competent municipal court; competence depends on the type of document and the body that issued it. We identify the competent authority and handle submission and collection for you.

Can I get an apostille if I live abroad?

Yes. We can obtain the documents on your behalf with a power of attorney, get them apostilled and send them by courier to your address abroad.

Do I need an apostille for documents used in another EU country?

For many public documents covered by Regulation (EU) 2016/1191, no. Some documents and institutions still ask for it, so we confirm what is needed before you order.

Embassy & consular legalisation

How do I know whether I need an apostille or legalisation?

It depends on the country where the document will be used. Tell us the country and the purpose, and we will check the current rules and suggest the shortest route.

Do I have to visit the embassy in person?

Usually not. We handle submission and collection, unless the mission specifically requires the applicant to appear in person.

Certified true copy

Is a certified copy as valid as the original?

For most procedures, yes. Some institutions still ask for the original, or for a document issued within a certain period; we check this in advance.

Power of attorney & signature certification

Can I sign a power of attorney for Croatia while abroad?

Yes, before a local notary or at a Croatian embassy or consulate. We prepare a bilingual text and arrange the apostille and translation.

Document retrieval

Do I need a power of attorney for document retrieval?

It depends on the document. Some are issued to anyone with a legal interest, while others, such as a criminal record certificate, require a power of attorney. We let you know in advance.

Do you send documents abroad?

Yes, by registered post or international courier, to any address.

Interpreting

Do I need a court interpreter to buy property in Croatia?

If you do not understand Croatian and the contract is signed or notarised before a notary, the notary will generally require an interpreter. We provide one and coordinate the appointment with the notary.

Do you provide interpreters for weddings?

Yes, for civil weddings at registry offices throughout Croatia, from Zagreb to Dubrovnik.

Documents for foreign workers

Do you translate from Nepali and Hindi into Croatian?

Yes. For languages with few court interpreters in Croatia we can also work via English as a pivot language, where the institution accepts it. The quote states the exact method.

Prices depend on the document

Send a scan or photo of your document and tell us where it will be used. We reply with an exact price and deadline, with no obligation.
