Notarised certified true copies
A notary confirms that the copy matches the original, so you don't have to hand over the original.

A certified true copy is a copy of a document on which a notary confirms that it matches the original shown to them. It is used when an institution needs proof but you need to keep the original, or must not part with it, such as a passport, a diploma or a title deed.
When you need a certified copy
- job applications, university admissions and the recognition of foreign qualifications
- residence applications, work permits and opening bank accounts
- a certified translation bound to a certified copy instead of the original
- documents for use abroad, where an apostille is added to the notary's certification
How we work
We arrange certification by a notary and, if needed, an apostille on the notarial certification and a translation. If you live abroad, tell us which documents you need; many Croatian documents can be obtained as a fresh original instead.
Frequently asked questions
Is a certified copy as valid as the original?
For most procedures, yes. Some institutions still ask for the original, or for a document issued within a certain period; we check this in advance.
